Clonfolic Tablets
Clonfolic contains folic acid which is a member of the vitamin B group. Women, particularly those planning a pregnancy, should take 0.4 milligrams (400 micrograms) daily - this is the exact amount in one tablet of Clonfolic.
Taking folic acid daily can help reduce the risk of having a baby with Spina Bifida by up to 70%. Spina Bifida is a neural tube defect (NTD).
Start taking folic acid (Clonfolic) at least 14 weeks prior to trying to conceive, and keep taking for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Studies have shown that up to 70% of first time neural tube defects such as Spina Bifida can be prevented by taking one Clonfolic tablet (0.4mg folic acid) daily.
